Goliath hand cart (first attempt)

Here's my first attempt at making the hand cart. I think I have the design down but I think I need to use a finer grade of brass wire... what do you guys think.

Nice mate, that's some small work you got going their.

its not too small mate. Im thinking its actually a little on the big side. I think the framework should be a bit thiner. The two guys standing next too each other (looking like they are holding hands) are mock ups for the crew to pull the cart.

Yeah I think the frame itself is the right size but the wire could be a bit smaller of a gauge. that reminds me,... i need to buy a soldering iron...

Yep i agree Mike, im in the process of making one using a much finer grade of wire (think paper clip thickness) its looking good so far. Ive also shortened the length of the section carried by the Pioneers - it was too long and took up the whole medium sized base. Ill get a Pic up later in the day.

It might be easier to do it as a flatbed with wire tow hook/handle. Or file down the top and bottom of the wire if you are feeling a bit mental...

Have you thought of seeing if the trailer that comes with the Sd Kfz 10/5 is a goer?

Flat bed would be easier but not correct unfortunately Gav. The 10/5 trailer is a good shape but too big. I've nearly finished the second attempt and I think it looks a lot better.
